Special Information
The Champaign County Sports Car Club is putting on another Adventure/TSD road rally. Rallyists can participate in the traditional Time Speed Distance Classes and/or an Adventure Class where the emphasis is less on staying on time and more on answering interesting questions correctly. Yep, the “and/or” in the last sentence means you can participate in both the Adventure Class and a normal timed class at the same time if you want to (but you will probably find it impossible to do either very well). With just under 120 miles of rally and a great lunch there is plenty to keep everyone smiling.

Bring your buddy, bring your friend, bring your date, or bring anyone else you can capture and come on out to join in the fun. If you can’t recruit a buddy, etc. just come alone and team up with someone during on-site registration. Please study the rally’s General Instructions before coming if you can. Long time rallyists will note many differences from standard generals. My hope is that the changes will more fully explain to new rallyists the details of how to follow the instructions. At 9:15am I will conduct a ‘read through’ of the generals to explain them to everyone. Spouses and friends who don’t participate in the rally are welcome to come to The Humble Hog (125 S. Market St., Paxton, IL) at 12:30pm for lunch.

Registration Info and Minor Waiver
As usual the entry fee will be $20.00 per team.  So that the rallymaster will know about how many cars to expect you are encouraged to preregister on the AXWare Systems Online Race Management web site and/or to post your intention to come on the CICEnet.net thread for the rally. Minors need a completed Parental Consent form with the appropriate signature(s).  Forms will also be available at on-site registration.  Participants should try to arrive close to the time registration opens so they will have time to certify that the driver’s insurance meets the appropriate state’s standards, that the driver has a valid drivers license, that the rally vehicle is being used with the permission of the owner, is in safe operating condition, is on the road legally, and that all its operational items such as lights, turn signals, brakes, horn, tires, mirrors, seat belts, windshield wipers and windshield washer are in proper working order.  Early arrival also gives participants time to listen to the review of the rally’s general rules and to ask other rally participants questions.  This last is especially important for those who have never run a rally before.

Essential Road Rally Equipment
