Work Day and Tech Day 2018

Do you hate the tech lines at the first autocross of the year? So do we! Fortunately, Parkland College has offered their facilities at the Applied Technology Center for a day of CCSCC annual technical inspections! Many thanks to Jon Ross the Parkland staff who helped us arrange this event, which will take place on on Saturday, March 10th.

In addition to Tech Day, Parkland College is hosting a Work Day in its shop for registered participants only. Visit the Parkland BTCE website to register: Click Here.

For equipment inquiries or scheduling of Dyno sessions, lifts, and scales, please email Jon Ross at JRoss@parkland.edu. Alignment rack time slots may be requested using this Google Form: Click Here

The Work Day will start with a mandatory 1-hour safety and orientation class. After completing the course, you will need to sign a waiver before using any equipment. The available equipment includes special tools and diagnostic equipment, 11 lifts, 2 alignment racks, one rack for corner weighting (scales), tire mounting and balancing equipment, and a Mustang MD1100E chassis dyno (2 wheel). Be sure to bring your own torque wrench and check its calibration. The dyno will be available for 1 hour sessions by appointment (long enough for 2 to 3 pulls to get horsepower and torque numbers, but not for tuning).

When: Saturday, March 10 at 8:00AM-4:30PM
Where: Find your way to the lot north of the ATC by following Duncan Road past Bonnie Blair Road, and make the first right. Do not use the Bradley Avenue or Duncan Road Parkland College entrances.
Why?: Because long tech lines are long!
