The Pete Hetman, Jr.Autocross school will be presented by CCSCC on Saturday 4/6. This will be followed with a Test and Tune on Sunday 4/7.
When:
Saturday, April 6, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
and Free Test-n-Tune day on April 7th.
Where: Rantoul Airport and a classroom to be announced in the morning. We’ll meet on site at the east taxiway. Entrance is from the east side of the airport along Perimeter Road.
What: The Pete Hetman Autocross School presented by Champaign County Sports Car Club.
As a beginner, you will get an entire day of instruction. The day begins at 8am with classroom instruction from our experienced club members. Then, we’ll all have lunch. After lunch, you’ll be paired with another club member to coach you on course. You can expect to get 10 to 15 runs thru the course with tips and coaching the whole time.
If you’ve had the beginners’ class and would like to spend time advancing your skills, the Advanced class begins at 8am with experienced club members riding with you and helping you to hit that next level. Then after lunch, the Advanced class becomes the instructors. Or you are welcome to be done for the day.
Cost: Beginners $50, Advanced $75. Lunch included. Any student will get a $10 discount on the Beginner’s School.
Anyone who would like to volunteer to teach or just work the event will receive lunch for helping out. Please sign up to volunteer here
