We’re kicking off the season on Saturday March 27 and Sunday March 28. Rantoul Airport Ramp#2 is looking good and waiting for us to do our thing. Registration is available on AXWare. We’ve moved to a Pre-Reg and Pre-Pay model. You’ll also need to fill out a Rantoul Site Waiver (at each event) and the CCSCC Annual Waiver and Annual Tech Inspection.
We’re all anxious to get the season started, but, here’s a few things to keep in mind for the first (couple) events:
- Be COVID aware and respectful, everyone will need a mask if they are not alone. Drivers, when driving on course, your mask is optional.
- Spectators must arrive in the driver’s car.
- Drivers have the option for ride alongs……or not. It’s their choice.
- We need to arrive EARLY EARLY….everyone will need everything tech’d and “stickered”. So, bring your paperwork and patience. We’ll get the driving started as soon as everyone’s ready.
- The plan is to use the “static grid” like last season. You’ll be assigned a “spot” and that will be yours for the day.
- Its spring, bring more clothes than you need…..you never know.
- Patience…..don’t forget to bring a big bucket of patience
- Helmet, bring a helmet…….COVID has eliminated loaner helmet programs almost everywhere.
- …what else……patience, did I say that?
OK, I think you get it……….We’re all looking forward to the first event and getting our “apex on”. It’ll be fun, we all help, and we all coach, and we all learn. We’ll have a great time.
