March 16, Work Day at Parkland College

We’ve been very luck the last few years to have a strong partnership with Parkland College. They have agreed to host a “community education” workshop and allow participants to use the Auto Tech shop to wrench on your personal car.

This is a great opportunity to get your car on a lift and swap parts. There are 2 alignment bays that will be scheduled on a first-come-first-use basis, and another drive on lift for corner weighing your car. In addition, there are lots of lifts available to let you work on the underside of your car. Tire machines are on site for rubber swapping and/or balancing.

We’ll have donuts in the morning, stop by and visit with club members, sign up to be a club member, and get your car teched for the season…..yes, we’ve got those cool little triangle stickers for this year.

Notes from Parkland on the process of registration for the workshop is open online:

www.parkland.edu/ceRegister  Search = “Alignment Seminar”  or  “5695”.  Either will get them to the class, to they can check details and enroll.  Payment is due at the time of enrollment.

If people are not currently in our system — Community Ed registration system — they will have to create a profile, and proceed from there.  Of course, they can always call and get personal assistance with registering.  Our phone number is  351-2235.
