Hello AutoXers and friends of CCSCC, I hope your holidays were restful and full of fun.
Yes, the CCSCC group is back for a fun fill season in 2021. We have a complete schedule available and we’re planning 9 weekends of AutoX, an AutoX school in June, and an AutoX Test-n-Tune in July. On the Rally side, we’re planning for 2-6 events.
2020 was an interesting season for us. We did get the second half of the season in and members have accumulated points for both AutoX trophies and Championship trophies. Since we only had 6 weekends and 12 events, there were a number of ties in the top 10. Our Points Chair is still working thru the trophy assignments. The 2020 season also brought some new operational processes and new pavement to the events. We’ll continue to only do online and pre-registrations for events and have the registration close about 3pm the day before the event. This will give the Chief of Workers (we call them CoW), a chance to do bumps and heats and worker assignments. We’re also planning to keep the additional pavement for grid and the start/finish locations.
2021, all I can say is I’m looking forward to it. We’ve got 4 new Board members and they are bringing new ideas and excitement.
We’ll post again soon with trophy winners and final points. OH, and don’t forget, if you’re not a member….you can’t accumulate points for end-of-year goodies and trophies.
